Hairdressing Learn shampooing, styling, braiding, cutting techniques, hair-up designs, colouring theory, client care and salon skills. 💈 Barbering Develop barbering techniques including clipper work, fading, scissor skills, styling, hygiene, consultation and professional practice. 💄 Media Make-Up Explore beauty make-up, creative looks, special effects (SFX), character design, face and body art, festival make-up and theatrical techniques. 💅 Nail Technology Learn manicure techniques, nail preparation, nail art, design, hand care, client consultation and salon health and safety More Than Practical Skills Alongside vocational learning, young people develop valuable transferable skills including: Communication Teamwork Confidence Creativity Problem-solving Independence Organisation Employability skills Our sessions encourage learners to express themselves, build friendships and celebrate their achievements while developing resilience and self-esteem. Qualifications Where appropriate, learners can work towards recognised AQA Unit Awards and ASDAN qualifications, enabling them to gain accredited achievements that recognise their skills and progress.
